Sold: $4,900 for $5 Casino Poker Chip

A Rare (Flamingo Hotel) Casino Poker Chip recently sold on eBay for $4,900. Stated (In the eBay listing) as being one of few remaining Vintage $5 Casino Chips from the old Hotel still in un-drilled condition. The auction attracted collectors and online auction onlookers alike.

The opening bid started at $3,000 on April 9th, 2009. Seven days later the Casino Chip had received 16 bids from the 5 bidders who participated in the auction. Over 800 people clicked-in to take a closer look at the rare poker chip.

It’s not uncommon for some vintage casino and poker chips to fetch some pretty impresive prices among collectors. Ten (vintage casino and poker chips) have fetched final eBay selling prices between $800 to $3,000 in just the last 90 days. But the Flamingo (Casino Chip sold for $4,900) has been the best auction recently.
