$18,000 for Beatles 'Please Me' Record

This vintage Record, (Parlophone) received 45 bids, before it sold on eBay in excess of $18,000, on September 9, 2011 (see eBay auction).

The album, 'The Beatles - Please Please Me' is the debut album by the English rock band which was put out by the Parlophone record label on March 22, 1963.

Rolling Stone magazine gave this album historical significance by calling it (the album); "the invention of the idea of the self-contained rock band, writing their own hits and playing their own instruments".
