LOS ANGELES  –  A pair of Vintage Levi's Jeans, discovered in an attic, have fetched $17,999 on eBay.

The Levi's, listed in a seven day auction with a starting price of $12,000, were described by the Southern California seller as being from the 1920s, and having:

“Dark blue suspender buttons no red tag size 30x30. Minor wear spots on back pocket. Just found in SoCal attic stashed away after 75 years."

Vintage Levi's are some of the most sought after items among vintage clothing collectors. Prices can soar to astronomical levels for an extremely rare pair.

Last year we did a story of a rare pair of 124-year-old Levi's, discovered in an antique cedar chest. Those jeans, reportedly in mint unworn condition. They were estimated to be worth $100,000.

However, sometimes even Levi's in poor condition can be valuable. On American Pickers, (Season 17, Episode 01, The $90,000 Question). Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz, discovered a stash of really beat up jeans (video below).

American pickers, Frank Fritz and Mike Wolfe find beat up old Levi's.

Some of the Levi's Mike and Frank found, were dated back to the 1930s, and valued between $600 - $800 (high retail) despite their poor condition. The video is worth watching because of the tips for identifying vintage Levi's.
